Joe McCaleb , MPT, BSAT, KTTI, COMT, Cert DN, Dip MT

Joe received his bachelors in athletic training in 1996 from Grand Canyon University and his Master of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech in 2005. He is Certified in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and Dry Needling. He holds a Diploma in Manipulative Therapy and is a Master Kinesiology Taping Instructor. He will begin his postdoctoral work in 2019

Joe’s approach is “eclectic” with his varied clinical and teaching experiences. He has been the primary treating therapist for the Colorado Ballet Society, The American Distance Project Elite Runners and various other high-level athletes and weekend warriors as well as Crossfit groups. He also has experience in wound and burn care. He has extensively researched concepts in integrative care. His published paper, “Group and Home Based Tai Chi in Elderly Subjects with Knee Osteoarthritis” is an example of this. He is passionate about biomechanics and musculoskeletal rehabilitation as well as the use of kinesiology tape as an adjunct to enhance care. He has been a part of the medical advisory board for KT Tape since 2009 and has traveled extensively with them. He has taped over 28,000 people at events around the world as well as developed a kinesiology taping course for professionals. He has also leveled over 2 dozen specific kinesiology taping applications that he has on YouTube. He takes the time to explain the biomechanics of dysfunction to his patients so that they can truly become “a part” of their rehabilitation process.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist Joe was a part of the United States Army and spent a number of years driving 18-wheelers having been to 46 of the 48 continental states. For fun, Joe drives his Dodge Challenger cross country and locally spends time with his dog, Butterscotch, hiking the trails and mountains of Colorado. In his spare time, Joe works to bring awareness to causes such as cancer, thin blue line, as well as abuse of children and animals.
