Bobby Bemis: Why I became a PT
I became a physical therapist for a variety of reasons. My mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at a young age. I was raised in an athletic family where injures were common place. I knew that I needed a career that was active, fun and challenging. I had a desire to work with people on an individual basis and impact their lives for the better. My choice to become a physical therapist has had a huge impact on me personally. It has improved my perspective on life, allowed me to cultivate important relationships, and go home at the end of the day feeling like I had a positive impact on the world around me.
A little known fact about me is that I was overweight in middle school and could not finish the mile run in 8th grade. I set the mile record at my highschool my senior year…and it still stands.
